As we enter into the season of Gratitude, I always take a moment to be thankful for those that make the choice to share in a delightful wine expereince with me!

And now...wine!  Sometimes we get a little caught up in basing our wine selections for Thanksgiving around the bird.  Well, here's a secret...the bird is the bird regardless of if you roast it, fry it or smoke it! :)  For this class, I base wine selections on 4 different Thaksgiving "table scapes" that are found throughout the US - fruit, butter, salt, earth.  

The Holiday Palates are really quite delighful to explore!  In this class, we are going to play with the ABC's of holiday wines.

A - Armagnac!

B - Bubbles!

C - Cognac!

This year in Curious Palate wine tasting experiences, we are going to layer in all kinds of delightful sips and bites and themes! Each tasting will explore the magic created with the most delightful pairing of Art, Wine & Amuse-Bouche. The exhibition this month celebrates Gratitude and offers so many different art mediums…so we decided the best possible wine compliment would highlight the Beauty of Blends.

As it turns out, March gives us Crayon Day to celebrate! Yes, really!  So, for this Curious Palate tasting adventure, we are going to look at wine styles that offer a bit of a “waxy” component to them. Now…what does that mean?  We will share at the tasting, but we promise it will make some sense and no one will drink wax! Come learn about it!

The last Saturday of April is International Sculpture Day!  The dynamics and materials of sculpture are incredibly diverse. So, for this Curious Palate tasting adventure, we are going to look at the sculptured vine training techniques used throughout the world. Now what does that mean?  Come learn about it!

We can’t talk about art and wine without giving a little nod to folks that have the…ummm, audacity…to be snobby about art, wine, or really anything else!  Here’s to World Ego Awareness Day! So, for this Curious Palate tasting adventure, we are going to swap some silly tales and sip on very misunderstood wines while we do it. Come play!

June offers one of the dirtiest weeks of the year…National Clay Week!  So, for this Curious Palate tasting adventure, we are going to look at wine varieties thrive in clay soils. Who doesn’t love a lil’ dirt on their hands in the summer?! Come learn about it!

July offers one of the most colorful months of the year – fireworks, gardens, summer meals…the colors of July are magical!  So, for this Curious Palate tasting adventure, we are going to look at a range of colors that are available in wine! Come learn about it!
