Through my years in hospitality, event planning and, well, just being a soft sensitive critter, I’ve developed a rather unique biological gift for hearing/seeing/sensing/feeling a sensational depth of all the human experiences happening throughout an event. I often tell industry cohorts, “If you want to know how an event is going, stand by the bar or the bathrooms. You’ll hear it all.” When you hear it, and you watch it, you start to understand what is actually being said and heard – which is what we are going to discuss right here. - So many options here. Yes. No. I want coffee/tea/soda/this drink/that drink/whatever I want because that is what I want, and it’s not up for your approval.
As a mobile bartending company we have a big opinion here that may surprise you! We are fully committed to providing the best service to our Clients and all of their Guests, including those who don’t drink alcohol. And we are 100% Free from Mocking!!
We don’t use the term “Mocktail” – ever. It’s a common term, but we find it bothersome, so we don’t fold it into our language. “Mock” implies two things “to tease or make fun of” or it means “false” – and, well, neither of those implications suit us!
- There are many reasons people don’t drink alcohol including, but not limited to: age, health, belief, choice, religion, behavior, and even sometimes, “cuz I don’t wanna”. Regardless, there’s never a reason to mock, tease, question or bully anyone about not drinking beer, wine or spirits.
- There’s nothing fake or false about what we serve. When it comes down to it, if one ingredient can make or break an entire experience, perhaps that product isn’t worthy of being served.
Alcohol free doesn’t mean palate free and there are many GREAT options beyond water and soda.
